Look this is all very funny, fantastically observed and written but frankly I am starting to get very disgruntled and jealous of your skills and humour and just about everything else. My only hope is to bring myself and kids over to your neck of the woods (where you also have better weather and mothers' groups that involve alcohol and fancy food rather than the ones I attended in dank halls with cups of cold tea) in the vain hope that we might appear in one of your superb posts. We may well have to swim there but it would be worth every shark bite, oil spillage and being run down by container ships.
Thanks for sharing - your misadventures and great, great talent(s)!

What the NDM is not telling her readers is that she is one of only a small number of parents of our acquaintance who unfailingly arranges allergy-friendly food when our son visits. Also her allergy friendly recipe for brownies was an instant hit at our son's childcare where the the childcare staff pleaded for the recipe so that they could persuade other parents to provide non-pha-pha-pha food for the kidlets birthday parties....

My son is allergic to salad, fruit, lean meat, wholegrains and imaginatively shaped pieces of vegetables. Therefore, he is ably catered for in your joint, and I notice has often eaten more of your tucker than your own kids when I pick him up.

Many thanks to you for your butter, white flour, eggs, sugar, food colouring and love.

Master L is indeed allergic to mangoes.....anything masquerading as fruit, vegetables or with any kind of nutritional value whatsoever (even though he states his favourite fruit is avocado not a piece has passed his lips for quite some time). Will be checking out your website Heather!

Great Post! I agree that it is really difficult to find good allergy free recipes. My son is allergic to soy, peanuts, eggs, wheat and dairy. I started a website www.spewdfree.com where all of the recipes are free of soy, peanuts, eggs, wheat and dairy. Just thought you might want to check it out.
Thanks,
Heather
